Change Yourself!

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. - Leo Tolstoy"

Today, if we turn on the radio, TV or look at the home feeds of social network and there are monotonous people who's always seeking for Change. This world of ours, this land of beauty is filled with problems. Think about the hundreds of thousands of people dying each and every day. Think about the poverty and hunger children have to face. HIV, Cancer. Racism, Sexism, Hatred of Homosexuals. Riots, Rebellions, Terrorism. Rape, Murder, Suicide. Drug Addicts, Abortion or No Houses. Beside these everybody wants a better economy, but they are not willing to share in the financial hit. They wants better institutions for their children, but nobody wants to re arrange the system and module of teachers and role of parents. They wants lower health care costs, but nobody wants to endure the changes to medicine, law and bureaucracy which will take to get it. People wants fuels, vegetables, cloths etc. at lower price, but nobody wants to radically shift their patterns of consumption. Nobody's adopting the changes in lifestyle and behavior that will actually drive us into happier life. It's funny to realize that everybody wants to own the result, but nobody wants to own the process.

What is preventing us; why are we not taking an initiative; What is stopping people from taking that first step of change; Failure or fear? If such are the things then Solomon Johnson once said, “May your Fear turn to be your Freedom, your Failure turn to Fortune, and your Future turn to Fame.” In short, we all have the potential to change the world. We are forgetting that we are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. We are here to enrich the world.

We are not blind to go unnoticed from what's happening in front of our eyes based on our opinions and mentality. We can easily figure out which things are good and bad. And we want to change bad things, right. So, if we want a change, we first need to become the change. We are not just one person, we are a whole entire being. We should stop considering ourselves perfect person so, we can look into ourselves too. Rather than rejecting ourselves as unchangeable beings, we can guide our change in the desirable direction by developing new habits. We can change the world one habit at a time. We first make our habits, and then our habit will make us.

This world needs people who are not content with the status quo and are willing to make a difference with themselves and the world.

A leader is someone who is willing to own not just the result, but the process. - Vishal Vof
